New poster who just bought the game here. First let me express appreciation for a very well done game. I have really enjoyed it so far.

I've completed all the goals exceptt I just can't seem to land the big fish and haven't been able to pull a 10+ from the Keya. I've hooked fish that look like they are no doubt well above that but they always get away no matter what tactic I try. I've let them run with various drag settings up to 55 and they usually throw the hook before they stop running. I've tried limiting the runs and turning them and lose them. I've tried horsing them and break the tippet. I've played them a few times right to the box but I can't get them in it. If I lift, the tippet breaks. If I try to guide them in while in the water I end up losing sight of the and they get slack and I eventually lose them.

Any advice?

Here's some tips from other forum posters:

couple of tips for slack:
- don't pressure the fish too much early on or you may turn him towards you.
- keep the rod in front so you can pull up when they run at you.
- move up/down the bank to help remove slack.

when ever i am fishing fo fish 10+ pounds i found a great way to land them, you walk with the fish well realling the in

The big ones are tricky to catch.
Try moving along to bank to help manage slack line and in the early
stages of the fight just let them run to wear them out.
