Hey fellow flyfishing addicts,

So far I had very little success fishing with wet flies and nymphs. When fish are not feeding at the surface, I close the game and reopen it, hoping for a better date. How do you fish with those flies? I've tried letting them drift in current, I've tried stripping (retrieving and releasing a little bit of line rapidly... descritpion is to avoid any possible semantic confusion), I've tried casting perpendicular to shore to let the fly sink. I've done all that with different flies (based on the hatch chart) and with different weights. Even when I see the fish they just won't bit. How do you that?

Thanks in advance

go with a searching nymph pattern and then just try and see a fish a little deeper in the water cast just upstream and past them with persistence and they will eventually take it, you may need to change the fly a few times good luck
