Stupid question... Why are brookies so small in the game? I've never fished on any of the rivers featured in the simulation but... are they really that small? I've catch 6+ pounds brook trouts before and the record in the game is 3lb 5oz. Considering that some brown trouts in the game reach over 60 pounds (20 pounds heavier than the real record), I'm curious to know why there are no bigger brookies.

When the game originally came out, the biggest fish were all sized
about the same as record fish caught in U.S. rivers (I my have messed
up the Brookie). Then people started pulling in the biggest ones
and asked for more challenging fish. The only way I could do it
with out messing up game balance was to increase fish wieghts -
hence the 60lb browns. Things will get rescaled in Version 2.

This biggest brookie to date is now over 11lb. My biggest is 10lb 11oz, fought like a pillow, or a roll of carpet. Theres another thing, brookies do not fight in the game, having never been to the US could somebody tell me if they fight in real life?

Brookies don't get very large in most waters. In many rivers and streams in the U.S. a 10 inch brookie is a good sized fish. However, there are a few places (particularly in Canada) where brook trout to get pretty large and 6lb brookies aren't that uncommon. A respectable sized brookie does fight pretty well, but they don't often jump or make long runs. Most I have caught dive for the bottom where they alternate between tugging like a little bulldog and trying to shake the fly out of their mouths (and they are pretty good at it).
